Senate Republicans will choose McConnell’s successor as the Senate Republican Conference Leader, and other positions within the conference, by secret ballot November 13. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell moved up the vote date earlier to ensure one of his Swamp buddies replace him.

Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) and Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Rick Scott (R-FL) are gunning for the top spot of Senate Republican Conference Leader.
