The left left him a while ago; now he wants you to know.
In this weekโs Faces of Intrepidity, a series where America Missionโข explores the brave and dauntless figures that the culture war has to offer, weโre profiling mega-successful magnate Elon Musk. Elon Musk is a businessman and investor known for his key roles in many major companies. We’ll review Elon’s dot com days, his biggest enterprises, and recent adventures.
Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa. His mother and father’s business success granted his family considerable wealth. Musk briefly attended the University of Pretoria, but immigrated to Canada and obtained citizenship thanks to his Canadian mother.
Musk arrived in Canada in 1989 and connected with a second cousin in Saskatchewan. He hitched a ride to his cousin’s house and worked odd jobs at a farm and a lumber mill. In 1990, he entered Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania. He received bachelor’s degrees in economics and physics. He moved to California in 1995 to attend Stanford but dropped out after only two days.

With his brother’s help, Musk co-founded Zip2, an online city guide software company. It was acquired by Compaq back in 1999 for over $300 million. That same year, Musk co-founded X.com, a direct bank. X.com was merged with Confinity in 2000, forming PayPal. eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion in 2002. Using $100 million of the money he made from selling PayPal, Musk founded SpaceX, a space company.
In 2004, Musk was an early investor in Tesla Motors, Inc. and became the company’s chairman. In 2006, Musk helped create SolarCity, a solar energy company. He became Tesla’s CEO sometime around 2008. SpaceX started developing Starlink in 2015. That same year, Musk co-founded OpenAI, the now-infamous AI company. SolarCity was later bought by Tesla in 2016 and renamed Tesla Energy. Around the same time, Musk co-founded Neuralink, a neurotechnology company developing brain chips. In 2017, Musk founded The Boring Company, a tunnel construction company. It went viral for its plans for specialized, underground tunnels. Right around this time, Musk began to express interest in buying Twitter.
In 2018 the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sued Musk, alleging that he had falsely announced that he’d secured funding for a private takeover of Tesla. Musk stepped down as the chairman of Tesla and paid a $20 million fine to settle the SEC’s suit against him.
Moving on, when Elon opened for SNL in 2021, he revealed that he’s autistic. His public admission helps destigmatize the condition and pave the way for future entrepreneurs who are also autistic.
Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion in 2022. He rebranded Twitter and merged it into his new X Corp, changing the platform’s name to X not long after. xAI plans to release Grok 3 by the end of the year. Musk’s goal is to make X the “everything app“. In March 2023, Musk founded xAI, an AI company now famous for Grok, a competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
X has gone through structural change. The algorithm has been modified to help smaller accounts gain more impressions. It’s easier to grow an X account now than when the platform was still Twitter.
Musk allowed access to many company internal documents. Musk gave access to journalists Matt Taibbi, Bari Weiss, Lee Fang, and authors Michael Shellenberger, David Zweig, and Alex Berenson. Here, the censorship-industrial complex was dragged kicking and screaming into the light. Leftist media smeared the releases and their authors in an attempt to discredit their reporting and obfuscate for the deep state.
Elon and his X antics have gotten into deep doo-doo globally. Thanks to Michael Shellenberger’s Twitter Files – Brazil, Brazilian X users discovered that America’s FBI had partnered with the Brazilian government to develop an international censorship-industrial complex. This angered the Brazilian government and locked Musk and their chief magistrate in a bitter flame war.
Brazilian Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes shut down X in Brazil after the platform pissed off the Brazilian government after X refused to name a legal representative. X responded by creating the Alexandre Files, a throwback to the previous articles. The account exposed de Moraes’s authoritarian behavior. De Moraes has become a laughing stock, often compared to Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter or a Sith Lord from Star Wars.
Their evil was aided by a regime we all know and love… In not-so-shocking news, the Biden-Harris admin appears to be complacent in the Brazilian government’s attack on free speech.
40 million active Brazilian users were negatively impacted by the Brazilian government’s authoritarian power grab. Users who bypassed the ban with the help of VPNs originally faced daily fines of up to nearly $9,000. Eventually, over $3 million in fines were stolen from Musk’s companies and the ban was lifted.
Over time, Musk has grown disillusioned with the left. They’ve embraced far leftism, while the Republican Party has moved slightly left. Both parties to some extent (mostly the Democratic Party), have embraced authoritarianism via wokeness and expanded government power with the help of the deep state.
Musk endorsed former President Donald Trump. They talked on X Spaces in August to commemorate Trump’s return to the platform while over a million people tuned in live. The EU is starting to threaten Elon and X for their Trump support.
Trump has openly spoken about Musk playing a role in his administration. Trump plans to create a government efficiency commission helmed by Musk. This news has excited many who are sick and tired of the government’s abusive mismanagement of America.
On Lex Fridman’s podcast, Musk has accepted an offer to be involved. He’s acknowledged that the “Matrix” response would be “very strong”. Musk is ultimately right; “the Matrix will fight back”.
The deep state is powered by thousands upon thousands of bureaucrats who would fight tooth and nail to keep their jobs and status within the professional managerial class. Additionally, useful idiot protestors and rioters would act as subagents of the state because they’re hopelessly addicted to the goodies they receive from the government at the people’s expense.
For further foreign parallels, look no further than Argentina, a nation plagued by decades of economic anguish resulting from failed government policies. Musk and President Javier Milei of Argentina are on good terms and are friendly with one another. At one point in Elon’s conversation with a mutual friend and ally, former President Donald Trump, the pair commended Milei’s austro-libertarian-themed policies that resulted in significant reductions in Argentina’s deep state.
Sadly, the policy decisions did not come without hostile reactions from Argentine versions of the useful idiot protestors and rioters mentioned before. Back in June, leftist rioters in Buenos Aires melted down over the Milei administration’s tax reforms. Rioters set fires, attacked people, and left behind piles of garbage.
Now one can see why authoritarian foreign regimes want to target Elon.
More recently, leftist rioters raged out in the streets and attacked a government building after legislative representatives failed to approve pension raises for teachers. Milei’s previous pressure probably led to this result. Rioters approached the government building and pelted it with projectiles.
Despite the obvious negative consequences, it’s important to be steadfast in the fight for free speech. Musk doesn’t seem to regret his decision to fork over $44 billion for Twitter. In his words, X exists to “counteract the legacy media propaganda machine”. It seems like Musk is very aware of America’s precarious state.
Most recently, X has oddly decided to mimic Meta by banning the wannabe 2nd assassin against former President Trump while he was golfing at Trump International Golf Course in Orlando, Florida. Thankfully the idiot assassin didn’t get a chance to attack in time because he got spotted by and shot at by a Secret Service agent. The suspect was caught and brought in.
While it’s still too early to tell, it’s important to consider the possibility that this assassination attempt and subsequent social media banning may have been a consequence of a direct or in-direct Deep State pressure campaign. Perhaps the feds radicalized him. Perhaps he was radicalized by his fellow leftists. Thankfully, copies of the deranged lunatic’s posts have been archived.
America is deeply broken, but people like Elon Musk are working hard to help turn things around. His decision to acquire Twitter and “free the bird” was one of the riskiest moves ever made in his life. Since then, he has become somewhat of a right-wing George Soros by joining the MAGA unity coalition. While he’s not perfect, here’s a hat tip to Musk and his intrepid stand for free speech on the internet.
Will America choose liberty like Argentina or will it choose tyranny like Brazil? It’s looking good for MAGA, but the nation still has to vote for victory in November.
