CTA: Lawfare is Killing a Decorated American Hero

Who is Brian Kolfage and
Why Should You Care?

Brian Kolfage is a former United States Air Force airman, a triple amputee who lost both legs and his right hand during service in the Iraq War in 2004.  Kolfage was severely wounded by a missile attack in Iraq, earning him a Purple Heart. His injuries made him one of the most severely wounded airmen to survive the war.

He became known for his role in founding “We Build the Wall,” a private organization aimed at constructing a barrier on the U.S.-Mexico border using crowdfunding funds.

The father of two children has been robbed of his family, friends, and support system by a tyrannical vindictive Federal Government. He was arrested in the cruelest manner possible, by perhaps purposely inadequately equipped agents, who treated him like human garbage. He was forced into a heavy handed Plea Agreement.

In December 2018, Kolfage started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for We Build the Wall a privately funded border wall, claiming he would not take any personal compensation from the funds. The campaign raised over $25 million. In August 2020, Kolfage was indicted alongside Steve Bannon and others on charges of defrauding donors of We Build the Wall. They were accused of diverting funds for personal use, with Kolfage allegedly receiving over $350,000 for personal expenses like boat payments, cosmetic procedures, and jewelry. Kolfage pleaded guilty in 2022 to federal charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and tax fraud. He was sentenced in April 2023 to 4 years and 3 months in prison and ordered to pay $25 million in restitution.

Brian Kolfage had no ability to access the funds of the organization without having approval of the non-profit’s Corporation Council and Board of Directors, and any funds he received were awarded to him by others, he wrongly receive a penny regardless of any public statement.

You should care because the funds raised did in fact build Border Wall on the US Mexico Border that was used as the prototype for the wall built by the Trump Administration and stands to this day as the largest privately funded public works project in history.

You should care because he is currently confined to a Federal Prison Hospital Facility in Minnesota that is beyond ill equipped to handle his special needs, and is suffering every day because of the abuse brought to bear by Merrick Garland’s Justice Department at the behest of President Joseph R. Biden.

You should care because he fought for his (and your) country giving up parts of his body, making him fully dependent on others to survive, but who still cared enough to join in a cause to bring President Trump’s promise to the American People to pass.

You should care because “Law Fare” was used to destroy him and others in a case based on literally no credible predicate. But because the full weight of the Federal Government was brought to bear, he had no ability to mount a defense that would provide him with a fair trial.

Brian Kolfage needs your help. He needs compassionate release. Because there is no current Director of the Bureau of Prisons, the responsibility rest with the Justice Department and the new Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondi.
